Saturday Morning

This morning I slowly awoke, trying to remember what day it was, and smiling as I remembered it was Saturday. I love Saturday mornings when I don't have to be anywhere and don't have to get anything done. I enjoy just getting to be lazy. It made me smile to see my husband and puppy dog still sleeping soundly, also enjoying this Saturday morning. I got up and fixed a bowl of cereal which also reminded me of how blessed we are. We have a full refrigerator. I don't know what it was but for some reason, I just was reminded of how blessed (not lucky) I am with the littlest things this morning. I have a good job, a wonderful husband, the best puppy dog ever, and more "stuff" than I need. There are always things that I want, but I have everything I need. My family is healthy. I was reminded of a girl at work who's family got told on Thursday that the cancer treatment isn't working for her mom and they don't think she has much more than a month to live. When I think of this, I can't help but put all the little things that bug me out of mind. I am so thankful that the Lord has blessed me and my family.
