In the Midst of a Storm

At the beginning of February there were terrible tornadoes that went through west and middle Tennessee. One of the most severe tornadoes hit Union University. I was not a student at Union but I have several friends who graduated from there and Abigail is a freshman this semester. I babysat for Abigail and her brother years ago and is crazy to think that she is now in college.

They had only been back on campus a couple of weeks before the night of the tornado. I first heard that she was ok and had been off campus at the time it hit but we still are not sure where that came from since it is not even close to true. She actually was in her bathtub in her dorm on campus... in a dorm that was later condemned. And to beat all... her cat from growing up passed away the same day. She was only able to recover a few things from her room the next day

I cannot imagine how scary that must have been. And how hard that must be to deal with even now. They went back to school this week and I'm not sure how she's doing but I know it will take time for her and the other students to move on. But the Lord will see them through. Just as He did in the midst of the storm.
