Friday night was supposed to be dinner and a movie with Melanie and Jessica, but turned into dinner and fun the doggies at home. When we got to the movies the ticket-lady informed us there was a misprint and the 8:20 movie was not 8:20pm but 8:20am. My question is... who goes to see "27 Dresses" at 8:20 in the morning on a Saturday?
We did go to the movie on Saturday (at 1:00pm) and I loved it! It was sweet, romantic, girly, and predictable. That and some movie theater popcorn was just what I needed. Movie theater popcorn is only reserved for 'special' occasions.
The most stressful part was when we were out shopping with Melanie and Jessica, and Zach and I were trying to decide on the perfect vacuum cleaner. Which in the grand scheme of life is NOT that big of a deal. But is a big deal right now. If we're spending lots of our hard-earned money on an appliance I really don't like to use, I have a hard time getting into the decision-making process which is very frustrating for my research-everything husband. I love this about him even when it frustrates me!
The highlight of Super Bowl weekend was of course the Super Bowl. The last big football game for seven long months. The game was great and the commercials weren't too bad either! It was a good football game, which got even better when the Giants scored their last touchdown. I loved the shot of Peyton cheering for his brother after the winning touchdown pass.
The worst part of the weekend was when I was going up and down the stairs in our house at the end of the game trying to not be nervous for the Giants and I slipped down the last few stairs on my backside. It hurt. And resulted in a very big bruise. And lots of soreness.
And the countdown begins for August football.
