75 Years Young

Today is my sweet grandmother's birthday. She is one of the most amazing ladies that I know. As her first grandchild I know that I hold a special place in her heart, but one of the things that I love most about her is that she makes almost everyone she meets feel that way. It doesn't matter if she has known you forever or five minutes you feel special when you are with her.

She lived through a time that I will never be able to completely understand but never want to forget. She worked hard and taught her children to work hard. She is kind, generous, and patient. She is not afraid to speak her mind but demonstrates wisdom in not speaking too much. She teaches by example.

I am so very thankful for my Mamaw and am blessed to be part of her family.
