Dinner with LB

Last week I was thrilled to get an email from my friend LB and her little one EG saying they were going to be in town and wanted to know if I could meet them for dinner. We've tried this a couple times before and I was always out of town the time she would be coming through so it didn't work out. I was so very excited when she asked and I was going to be in town!!

Sunday night they came over to the house for a little while and hung out with the Jere and Ms. Pickles. Jere is a little intimidating to little ones because he gets so very excited and barks and jumps and barks and does his monkey-high-pitched-annoying bark some more. But eventually he calmed down (after like 20 minutes... sorry EG!) and she got to play with him a little while I showed LB some wedding pics and gave a quick tour of the house.

We went and got some mexican food and had some much needed "catching up" time. I was amazed by little EG and how much she ate! That girl loves to eat and was totally entertained for the almost 3 hours we were out.

There are only a handful of people I trust enough to share my heart with. LB is one of them. We met in extreme and unique circumstances and developed a friendship so quickly and so deeply that can only be a gift from our heavenly Father. She hears my heart and understands and loves me anyway.

I love you LB and it was a joy to meet your little one!



I also love that EG called me "A-la"! And that she can't say the "j" in john but she called Zach "jack"!! She's precious!!
