Happy Birthday Daddy!

My dad celebrated his 50th birthday this weekend. Mom and I talked about having a big party for him like we did for her, but pretty much knew surprising him would be virtually impossible. So mom asked dad what he wanted to do. We threw around a couple ideas but ultimately landed on a small family celebration with me and Zach and Ben coming home for the weekend.

It was great! We celebrated Friday with cake and presents and Saturday we were going to take him out to a nice dinner but he opted for a dinner at home and watching football. This is so my dad. He loves to just hang out at home and be with his family and we all love to just be together.

I am so very proud of my dad. He is an amazing man who loves Jesus first and his family second and everything else comes after those things. He makes me feel safe and loved. I love being his little girl. Happy Birthday Daddy!!

My creative mom came up with gifts and cards for each of dad's decades... this was the video of him opening "50". Enjoy!
