Letters to GK

A couple of months ago I asked the girls in my 3rd grade Sunday School class if they would be willing to make some cards to send to my grandmother. They were more than happy to help with this project and I couldn't help but write down the things they wrote in their cards. The only thing I told them about her was her name and that she had been sick.

On construction paper, they decorated their cards with hearts and crosses and smiley faces and stars. I didn't tell them what to write and when I went back and read them, I couldn't help but jot them down so I could remember...

Dear Kay, We are praying for you. So we sint thees Pretty Cards so you would file better. We also herd what happened so we sint thees cards.

The Lord is Watching over you.

To Mrs. Kay We are praying for you.

God loves you so much.

God is watching over you.

Dear Mrs. Kay We all hope you get better.

Get well soon.

These precious girls will never know what a blessing they have been to me and what this simple gesture meant to my grandmother.

Life is so simple when you're that young. It's refreshing to look at things from their perspective!
