2 Month Check-Up

Cooper had his 2 month well visit today. Mimi came in town and was able to go with us. Of course this was the visit that he decides to do great! No crying before the doctor even got in there. In fact, Mimi and I were privileged to lots of smiles and cooing while waiting on the doctor.

The doctor was pleased with his weight gain and said he was doing just fine. He checked him out really well and said everything looked great except for his left femur bone was slipping some where it goes into the hip bone. He said this was pretty normal from where he was all cramped up in the womb for so long and that it should resolve itself in the next six weeks or so as he starts becoming more active.

Cooper’s had some pretty dry skin on his face especially his forehead and the doc gave us a different kind of body was to use (Aveno) and some lotion to help with this (Cervae).

The last part of the visit was the shots. He only cried when the nurse stuck him and calmed down real quickly after I picked him back up. He got a shot in each leg and some medicine by mouth. That was the first time he’d had anything in his mouth besides mommy milk and it made me a little sad. His face was funny with the strange taste in his mouth.

He’s good to go until his 4 month check up.
