Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great holiday weekend with lots of family and food. Cooper got to see all of his grandparents this weekend. He got to spend time with Uncle Ben and met Aunt Laura for the first time. He had his first real restaurant experience at the Cracker Barrel with Buffy and her family. He slept through the whole thing. I realize this will not always be the case, but we are enjoying it for now! He did so good there that we took him to Zaxby's and Wasabi on Sunday.

Melanie and Charley babysat for a little while on Saturday so Zach and I could go out for a little while. I think it was the first time we'd been out just the two of us since he was born. We went to a bike shop to look at bikes and helmets and racks. I never knew there was a store devoted to this stuff! Saturday night we all enjoyed some yummy Charley chili and chocolate covered cherry cake from Melanie. It was delicious!

Monday night we went over to Danny and Janice's for a little cookout. It was such a beautiful evening and we enjoyed hanging out with family. Ben and Laura were able to stay until then so we got to let Toby and Jere play in the yard. I've never seen Jere run so fast back there!

Happy Memorial Day and thank you to all the men and women who have served and are serving to protect our freedom.
