Last day of Maternity Leave

Dear Cooper,

Today was our last official day together before we start a new routine.

I have been so blessed to spend these last 11 weeks with you. These weeks have flown by and I have really tried to treasure our moments together and spend time playing and snuggling and just learning how to be mommy and baby.

You have changed so much in these 11 weeks. You are quickly leaving the newborn stage and entering the baby stage. You still sleep a lot, but when you are awake you are much more alert. I'm loving seeing you discover new things almost every day. I am amazed at how fascinated you are by your feet! You are so expressive and can go from smiles to tears to smiles within a matter of minutes. You are so serious at times with your little brow furrowed up and then other times you are so laid back. I love to just sit and hold you while you are sleeping. You are so very precious.

Sometimes you like to hang out in your little seat and watch what's going on but most of the time you like to be hanging out in someone's lap or at least to have their attention. I realize this makes you a little spoiled, but I have come to terms with this and am ok with it. :)

You are blessed with lots of willing hands and I am happy to share you!

Next week starts our new normal of me being at work and you hanging out with other people (grandmommy, daddy, pappy & mamaw) during the day. I would love it if I could just stay home with you, but for now that is not what we can do. That just means that we will treasure our time together even more!

I will always treasure our time together these last weeks and look forward to what the Lord has for us in this new phase of our lives.

I love that I get to be your Mommy!

Love,

Mommy

We took this while playing around with photo booth on my computer. I think you were impressed with seeing yourself!
