Miss Hospitality

My sweet cousin won the Miss Hospitality Pageant for her county in MS and was in the state pageant this weekend. I wanted so badly to be there, but I wasn't able to get off work on Friday and it was just too long of a drive to make with just me and Cooper. Everyone agreed this was the right decision... it still didn't make it easy.

On Saturday afternoon I got to video chat with mom while they were at the hotel. I got to see most of my family including Mamaw and Papaw. They had never done that before and were thrilled to get to see their great-grandson! They kept saying how big he had gotten and how cute his was. Papaw was the first one to even ask how I was doing... it was all about Cooper until he got there! I'm ok with that though!

Aleasha did a great job and even won an award the first night for having one of the top speeches. She ended up making it to the top ten but not any further. I found it ironic when I heard that the other 4 girls who didn't make the top five were crying because Aleasha didn't make it.

I am so proud of her. She is such a strong young woman and I have no doubt that God used her throughout the pageant week to be an example for Him.
