They told us to get a final "no" for CF we needed to repeat the sweat test at six months. We debated on not even taking him for this visit, but we ended up deciding that peace of mind was worth it. We both took him for the visit and I was so grateful. The actual test was horrible this time. Last time he cried, but not like this. He knew something wasn't right and he wiggled and pulled and screamed and looked so pitiful. We had to hold him down so that he would pull anything off or hurt himself and that was horrible. When we had finished both the arm and leg, I wrapped up in his blanket and snuggled him close and he calmed down and went to sleep while we waited the thirty minutes. He was all smiles again when they came back to take the wrap off.
We left and went home after getting some chicken minis to go. We watched a little bit of LOST and then went shopping. We got Cooper some warmer clothes and picked up our new microwave (our old one quit working and smelled like wires were burning... not a good thing).
It seemed like forever before we got the call with the results. It was a nurse calling and I knew as soon as I heard her voice that it was good news. We got another double negative result!! She said that they did not need to see us anymore.
I will never take for granted that we have been given a healthy baby boy.

Shortly after we got the good news...
