The Weekend

Cooper and I were in much need of some Mimi and Papaw time, so we hit the road to visit them last weekend. Cooper did great traveling, but he was very clingy all weekend. I think he's getting a touch of separation anxiety, not to mention being in a totally new environment and he just wanted his Mommy. It does my heart good to know that he recognizes me and wants me and calms down just because I've got him.

Friday night, dad was holding him and he had finally calmed down. Dad had him facing the window and I came back in the room. Cooper saw my reflection in the window and started crying. It was actually very funny! Poor little guy!

I really don't want him to be that way all the time though!

Saturday we had a lazy morning and other than little man waking up at 5am it was perfect. Dad volunteered to keep Cooper so Mom and I could go do some shopping. It was so fun and we got so much done in a short amount of time. Amazing how much faster we can go without Cooper! Dad and Cooper met us in town at Pizza Hut where we had some delicious cheese sticks and pizza. Seriously. It was so good! Then we took little man to the pumpkin patch. I've been wanting to do this since last fall! It was late in the afternoon and the sun was right in our faces, but I think we managed to get a few good ones.
