Project Life Tuesday | Week 22

Sunday May 29
This is a pretty common scene in our living room. Toys scattered everywhere. Mister man goes from one thing to a next in about a split second! Sometimes we pick them up. Sometimes we don't. I'm ok with this. This won't be here forever.

Monday May 30
First pool party ever! We set up his little pool at Danny's house and since the water was super cold, it took him a while to actually get in the pool. I think he's going to love the water!

Tuesday May 31
I asked him to go get one of his books and he did. He crawled over to his books and picked up the "Bubble" book and held it out for me. I then read the book to him several times because I would read it once and he'd grunt and pick it up again. A line in the book says "Bubbles, bubbles, in my hair" and I always rub his hair. Today he rubbed his hair too. I about fell over. This is huge in language development!! Such a proud mommy!! But the pride in my genius child was short lived. I was changing his diaper on the floor and he wiggled away from me. In the time it took me to get over to him, he was on all fours peeing on my carpet.

Wednesday June 1
Little man woke up with a little fever and by lunch time it was up to 103. I called and was able to get him in that afternoon, but Zach had to take him. He's never taken him by himself, especially when he was sick. They both did fine though. I just knew it was going to be his ears, but they were clear. Turns out he's got strep, but I think we caught it early. After one dose of antibiotic this afternoon, he was feeling much better. I'm so thankful for our doctor's office... they saw him even though I didn't have my new insurance cards which went into effect today. So thankful.

Thursday June 2
Spent the morning snuggling with little man as much as he'd let me! He was a little whiney still (I'm sure he was wondering why it hurts to swallow!) but no fever since yesterday. I rocked him while he napped this morning, which we haven't done in a while, and was amazed at how long he's getting.

Friday June 3
Love him looking up at us. So cute! He's been a little more attached the pacy since he hasn't been feeling good. We all went to the store after I got home from work to get some supplies to send with him on his little adventure next week. I may or may not have had tears while rocking him to sleep tonight.

Saturday June 4
We got little man packed up and ready to go. We met Dad at Cheddar's about half way and had lunch before we had to say bye to little man for the week. Since the most I've been away from him is about 20 hours, this was not an easy thing for me. We both made it just fine and I know he's going to have a blast with his grandparent's this week!
