In honor of my birthday week I am going to share a birthday memory...
Birthday's are big in my family. Especially the birthday when you become your birthday number. Last year was my big birthday year. Not only was I turning 24 on the 24th, but it was my first birthday as a Whitaker and my first birthday with a real job (not school where I could just not go to class, which of course I never did but could if wanted to) where I really had to work on my birthday. Since my birthday was on a Thursday, I just assumed that plans would be for the parentals and sibling to come over the weekend to celebrate or for Zach and I to go to Clarksville. The thought of not celebrating with my parents is just not an option. So, this was the plan... so I thought.
Morning dawn on my 24th birthday on August the 24th and I got up with the rest of the working world and went to work. It wasn't bad and we actually went out to lunch but I had to work over because we were really busy at the time and I was just not excited. I came home and was informed by my husband (of 3 months to the day) that we were going out to dinner, which I figured we would. I changed out of yucky scrubs and into cute outfit and we were off to dinner. But not before opening presents from my hubby which included a new bible with my new name on it. Aww. He's good, I know. We got to dinner at Cappuccino's, a nice resteraunt, where I was extremely shocked to see my mom, dad, brother, father-in-law, Janice, and my sister-in-law all sitting a table waiting on us!!!
FYI... I had talked to my mom, dad, and brother all while driving home from work that day. All wishing me a happy birthday. They all were in the same car, but had to act like they had know idea that I had talked to the others.
We all had a fun dinner and everyone was so pleased with themselves that they had kept the surprise! After dinner we went to the apartment and had birthday brownies and opened presents. All in all a very Happy 24th birthday.

I am finally able to comment . This is a test to see if it works.
This was a wonderful birthday, and maybe they will top it this year.
