Fear Not

My Grandma Kay has been gifted by the Lord with the talent of writing poetry. For as long as I can remember she has been writing poetry inspired by our Lord. She keeps a pen and paper by her at all times because many poems have come at unexpected times. She tells of how often she has woken up in the middle of the night with a poem the Father has for her to share. She has numerous poems on just about every subject imaginable and customizes poems for special events.

One of her poems I kept on my bulletin boards at home and when I was in college. It was a poem given to me on Feburary 9, 1992. I don't remember exactly why she gave it to me, but it has and always will hold a special place in my heart. It is a reminder that no matter what this world may bring, the big stuff and the small stuff that seems like big stuff at the time, our Heavenly Father is always standing by waiting for us to call on Him.

Fear Not

Fear not for He is with you
So do not be afraid
He'll not leave you nor forsake you
For He heard you when you prayed

His peace He'll gladly give you
To comfort and renew
Peace that passes understanding
Is what He has for you

These promises of Jesus
Are made for every one
Who believes in Him and knows Him
As God's most precious Son

No matter what the world may say
Or how things may appear
No matter what you're feeling
One thing is very clear

That Jesus is the answer
No matter what you face
Just trust in Him, abide in Him
For He's your Hiding Place
