Giving Gifts

At Thanksgiving, Zach and I bought ourselves an early Christmas present. Our new laptop. I still wanted us to get something for each other so we set a reasonable limit to spend on each other. When it comes to presents, I like to be surprised. I don't mind making requests or giving ideas but I don't want to know everything I'm getting before I open it. It takes some of the fun away for me. I gave Zach some ideas and he went out shopping last week.

One other thing that I requested was that he actually wrap my presents. Sentimental, I know, but I wanted him to be the one to do it. When I told him this, his response was "I'm going somewhere I think they'll wrap it for me." This is progress from gifts in the store bag, so I was happy with this.

I came home from work that day to find two neat little boxes under our tree. They had a red ribbon around them and on the box was the name of the store as well as a sticker from the store on the outside of the box. I was also told by my sweet husband that I was not to look in my stocking because my stocking stuffers were not neatly hidden away somewhere, but actually in the stocking on the mantle.

Oh, and he told me he went over our limit... a lot! Which means I have to find something equally as wonderful as what he got me.

He's so excited and loves to give gifts. He can hardly wait for us to open presents from each other (mostly for me to open my presents) but I insist we must wait until Christmas day. We'll see who wins.
