Thanksgiving Weekend Part 1

Happy Thanksgiving

This is just our 2nd Thanksgiving as a married couple and with that comes trying to decide where to spend the holidays. We both want to be with our families and we can't be everywhere at once. This year we went went to Clarksville to be with our mommas. We stayed with Melanie and Charley in town and enjoyed getting to see them. Thanksgiving Day we watched some of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade and headed to the country to hang out with mom, dad, and Ben before the rest of the family arrived. Grandma Kay, Aunt Cathie and Uncle Tim also visited us for the weekend. It was so good to see them and it was my first time seeing Grandma Kay after her cataract surgery. Her eyes are healing so well and she is already seeing much clearer. Her eyes were whiter than I've ever seen them and Zach even said he never knew she had blue eyes!

We had a wonderful dinner made by mom with some help from Melanie and it turned out delicious. It was great to fellowship with the people we love. The rest of the day was spent napping, watching football, and mom and I planning our shopping trip for early Friday morning. Perfect!

Mom's beautifully decorated table complete with the butter dish from her her grandmother's table...
