Despite tropical storm Hanna making its way through the city and Zach not feeling well, we managed to have a fun time. I was especially glad to let Melanie take over telling Zach he needed to eat! We went out driving around on Saturday to see where Melanie works and Saturday night after the wind and rain had subsided Melanie and I got out for dinner and a little shopping at the first ever Barnes and Noble bookstore.
By Sunday, Zach was feeling well enough to do a little sightseeing. We visited Ft. McHenry which is where Francis Scott Key wrote the "Star Spangled Banner". It really is pretty neat to visit a place with so much history. In the afternoon we rode the "Duck Boats" around the city and got to see things from land and water. It was a little weird driving off the road into the water and then back out of the water and onto the road. We went to dinner at a cute little Italian restaurant in Little Italy. When we were being seated at the resteraunt the hostess said "please follow mia". We sat down and Zach said "I thought she was trying to have a fake Italian accent when she said 'follow amia". HaHa.

We had some visitors.

We look forward to more visits to Baltimore in the future!
