I was very distracted today at work! I kept thinking about them, wondering how everything was going. I called to check on her at lunch and they had just found out she was to 4cm. I was going to talk to her, but she was in a lot of pain and about to get the epidural. I have no idea why she couldn't just breathe through the pain and talk to me... come on! :)
I got the call from Lynz's mom while I was in a patient's room and I actually stepped out to take the call. I randomly get service in the hospital and I decided to talk while I could! The patient didn't even notice... I went back in the room and told him my best friend had her baby and he started looking at my belly with a questioning look on his face. I am, of course, NOT pregnant and while I'm heavier than I'd like I was pretty sure the guy just didn't get it. Or he couldn't hear me. Either is quite likely.
I'm so sad that I can't be there to hold the precious little one today but I will get to hold her very soon! My sweet mom went in my place today but didn't hold her...she wanted me to hold her first. Thanks mom!! We were going to try and video chat while she was at the hospital, but that crazy new fancy hospital didn't have wireless internet.
Mom had to wait a while for them to bring the baby in...apparently Abby needed a bath. While she was waiting she went to see her through the window with Nanny and she ran into another friend who's wife had her baby yesterday (Ben R.)and another friend (Rebecca C.) who's sister was in labor. Crazy reunion at the hospital! My funny mom thought all those random people were there to see Lynz because of course she was the only momma giving birth today...right?
Lynz sounds great and looks good according the pics. I'm so proud of her!! Congrats to my BFF!!
I'm counting down the days until I can see for myself!
