The doc said he was pleased with his weight gain and that we would wait to introduce any solid food until 6 months if that was ok with us. We are completely fine with that and I'm just so grateful that he's still doing so well with breastfeeding. I have been a little concerned about not having enough extra stored up and what if I don't meet the pumping quota for a day and so I mentioned that to the doctor and he gave me a couple of suggestions.
He got his shots and other than the actual "sticking" him part he did great. Of course he screamed for that but afterwards calmed right down.
We had to wait a long time in the office and the doctor apologized for the delay. He mentioned that the baby they had seen before us was not developing as he should have and they had to deal with that. It made my heart hurt for the poor mother who was leaving that day without the same kind of news I was. It made me ever so grateful for my healthy baby boy.
