Happy 2nd Father's Day to my love. We attempted to take family pictures on the beach tonight with everyone one dressed in their shades of blue, but the wind was a little much and they didn't turn out that fabulous. Surprisingly, this one of us waiting for dinner that night was one of my favorites. Lesson learned: unplanned photo ops often turn out the best!
Monday June 20
Dad, Ben, Johnny, and Patton went deep fishing today and we met them at the dock to admire their loot. Dad caught a barracuda and Ben caught a shark! Cooper was brave and touched the shark!
Tuesday June 21
Evening time was my favorite time to take Cooper to the beach since it was sooo much cooler and less crowded. We went for a little walk on the beach and got some cute pics/video of little man in the sand and waves.
Wednesday June 22
I wanted the photo op on the treasure chest. Zach got a kick out of the "hands off me booty" sign behind us! This was also so the day that I burned my right leg pretty badly while laying out and apparently just forgetting sunscreen on that leg.
Thursday June 23
No daytime beach for us today. I really needed a break... just couldn't have my leg in the sun very much more. We went to Destin for a little shopping and came back to Pineapple Willy's for dinner. We waited 1.5 hours, but got to enjoy the beach a little bit while we were waiting and then got the best seat in the house at the end of the pier. Totally worth the wait for a view like this.
Friday June 24
Happy 5th Anniversary to my love and me. We celebrated with a little beach time in the morning, family lunch at our favorite Schlotzky's, nap time, dinner out alone while Cooper stayed with Mimi and Papaw, milkshakes, and a walk on the beach.
Saturday June 25
Waiting on the elevators to get down to the garage with our last load of stuff. Sad to go, but ready to go home at the same time.
